Yes, please, launch our software, switch it to the Spy mode and open a port. After this, launch another application that will use the same port.

I have a question related to Advanced Serial Data Logger's user interface. Is it possible to protect some options on menu?. Some days ago, in a pc with your software I saw two "COM 1" configuration. When exists two configurations that use the same com port, that only port is closed and it's not possible to read some data. I would like to protect your software to avoid people create or modify some configurations. Is it possible?

I have an application where I need to capture two UDP data streams from a fixed IP LINUX computer. I would then like to then send the two UDP streams to two other window computers that also have fixed IP numbers. Will this product allow this to be done?

You can do it with help of Advanced TCP/IP Data Logger Enterprise.

Problem

I am generating a ASCII text file with my data. However, the data is appended on the same row, and I need it to be appended on the next line. I tried the ASCII <13><10> and the HEX #OD#OA with no luck, as neither seem to give me the results I need. It is possible I’m putting it on the wrong screen and/or wrong place.

I reviewed your Advanced Serial Data Logger software and on line tutorial a couple weeks back and just downloaded the trial version today. In the review, I saw a place where you could configure a command to be sent across a RS232 connection, schedule it to resend periodically, and receive the results back in the windows. Today after I installed, I can't find that option, and the on line tutorial I thought I looked at last week doesn't show me that option. Can you help?

To use your serial port software, do I need an actual RS232 port on my machine or use a USB to RS232 converter?

Answer

If this USB to RS232 converter comes with a sriver that will create a virtual serial port on the computer (most converters do it), then yes, you can use our software with an USB to RS232 converter.
